Career history:

For more than 40 years, Dr. Shuzo Murakami has been in charge of the research on Building and Environmental Control Engineering, mainly at the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo (from 1972 to 2000), at the Department of Engineering, Keio University (from 2001 to 2007) and at Incorporated Administrative Agency Building Research Institute (Tokyo (Department of Engineering, Faculty of Architecture).
He has been engaged in special research of the experimental study and the numerical simulation of building and urban environmental issues. He has also conducted extensive interdisciplinary studies concerning global environmental engineering, urban/building environmental engineering, healthy cities, human comfort and health. Furthermore, he has been engaged in CASBEE, which stands for Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency, in order to develop and generalize it as a City Sustainability Assessment Tool not only in Japanese Cities but also Cities Worldwide. His research in environmental engineering aims to realize sustainable buildings and cities. Thus, he has published numerous technical papers and essays both in Japan and overseas.
His enthusiasm in research is unlimited. He has been engaged in environmental model city and environmental future city. His achievements concerning energy, sustainability and environmental researches are remarkable. He is now working at Institute for Building Environment and Energy Conservation as a President.

Career history:

Dr Vincent S.Y. Cheng is a Director of Arup and the Leader of Building Sustainability Group of Arup East Asia Region. He is specialised in sustainable master planning, low / Zero carbon design, LEED & BEAM Plus certification, life-cycle analysis and Air Ventilation Assessment (AVA). He has been involved in more than 60 LEED and BEAM Plus projects in the Region. Since 2008, Vincent has been servicing the Hong Kong Professional Green Building Council as a council member and is currently sitting in the advisory committee of School of Energy and Environment, the City University of Hong Kong.

Amory B. Lovins, a consultant physicist and innovator in energy and its links with resources, security, development, and environment, has advised the energy and other industries for four decades as well as the U.S. Departments of Energy and Defense. His work in 50+ countries has been recognized by the “Alternative Nobel,” Blue Planet, Volvo, Zayed, Onassis, Nissan, Shingo, and Mitchell Prizes, MacArthur and Ashoka Fellowships, the Benjamin Franklin and Happold Medals, 12 honorary doctorates, and the Heinz, Lindbergh, Time Hero for the Planet, National Design, and World Technology Awards.A Harvard and Oxford dropout, former Oxford don, honorary U.S. architect, and Swedish engineering academician, he has briefed 23 heads of state and written 31 books and over 530 papers. Cofounder of Rocky Mountain Institute (www.rmi.org)—an independent, nonprofit think-and-do tank that drives the efficient and restorative use of resources—his work as its Chief Scientist has lately included leading the superefficient redesigns of scores of buildings, several vehicles, and 140+ billion worth of industrial facilities in 29 sectors. He led the creation of two of RMI’s five for-profit spinoffs: E Source, www.esource.com, and Fiberforge,www.fiberforge.com, which he chaired until 2007. He is a member of the Advisory Board to the Chief of Naval Operations and of the U.S. National Petroleum Council. Career history:

Jane Henley is a highly regarded champion of the worldwide green building movement, with 10 years of involvement and experience as a leader in the industry. Over the course of the past decade, she served as CEO of the World Green Building Council, the largest international organization driving the growth of the green building market. She is a past director of the United Nations Sustainable Building Climate Initiative board (UNEP-SBCI) and was the Chairperson of the popular ‘Business Case for Green Building’ report (2013).
Jane embraces a systems approach, focusing on identifying budding trends and current market barriers to assist leaders in future-proofing their assets while contributing to creating healthy productive built environments in a rapidly changing world.  
Jane’s background is in management consulting. She is currently participating with MIT’s Executive MBA program, embracing current research and best practices. Jane has advised governments on green building policies and has participated in multiple UNFCCC COPs as well as the more recent UN 10YFP program development
